Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is ready for its first trip to the picturesque island of Lombok this weekend as the championship takes on Mandalika International Street Circuit for the finale of the Endurance Cup.

The weekend will feature Rounds 10-12 of the 2025 campaign, with the second 43 minute + 1 lap race of the season, following the first one in Sepang in June. The Pro-Am, Am and Masters class winners across the two rounds will be invited to attend the Snow Force event in China as a prize.

Team Shanghai Yonda BWT’s Dylan Pereira has been in stunning form this year, winning eight successive races around four different circuits. The championship leader could claim the title as early as Race 1 if results go his way.

His closest rivals are Enzo Trulli (TORO Racing) and Hugo Ellis (Sime Motors Racing) who are both enjoying their first campaign of the series, managing several podiums between them.

For this weekend’s event there will be three additional entries in the Pro-class, with current Porsche Carrera Cup France championship leader Marcus Amand stepping into the #9 Team Betterlife entry. Oscar Targett also returns to the championship in the #76 EBM, after scoring a pair of top six finishes at Shanghai last year. The third addition is Dylan O’Keeffe, who currently sits second in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia standings, and will take on his series debut with TORO Racing in the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Reigning Pro-Am champion Bao Jinlong (BWT Phantom Global Racing) could clinch his sixth title in Indonesia, after an excellent run of six consecutive wins which has seen him build a healthy gap to OpenRoad Racing’s Francis Tjia in second.

Munkong Sathienthirakul (EBM) has taken maximum points in each Am-class round this season, but will not compete this weekend, which could allow 2024 winner Eric Kwong, who is currently sitting second in the standings, to close the gap. Yan Chuang (Phantom Global Racing) will be aiming to replicate the strong form he showed last time out in Bangsaen, which saw him finish second across both races. Singaporean Roy Tang will also step into the #610 610 Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup this weekend.

The newly formed Masters category remains the most tightly contested on the grid as the top three of Christian Chia (OpenRoad Racing), Adrian D’Silva (EBM) and John Shen (Modena Motorsports) are separated by just 15 points, with Jacky Wu (Porsche Own Retail 69 Team) also not far behind. All four drivers have taken race wins so far in what has proven to be an excellent addition to the series.

This weekend will be the second new venue for Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2025, after visiting Mobility Resort Motegi back in April, and will be the first time the series has raced in Indonesia.

The visit to Indonesia will also be seen as a home race for Francis Tjia and Christian Chia, due to their family connections to Indonesia, with both aiming to impress in front of the passionate fans.

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia hosts its Formation Lap event on Friday morning to reveal its 2026 plans. Porsche recently launched the new Porsche 911 Cup, with the series being one of the first Carrera Cup championships globally to welcome the new generation next year.

Additionally, to mark the championship’s maiden visit to the Mandalika International Street Circuit, PERTAMAX TURBO will be the official fuel partner for the event.

It will be a special weekend celebrating Porsche as Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia is also in attendance, showing the strong connection between the two championships in developing young drivers within the Porsche pyramid.

On-track action begins on Thursday with two 90-minute testing sessions starting from 13:00, before Free Practice 1 gets underway on Friday at 12:15. Saturday sees Qualifying at 10:30, with the opening race of the weekend at 14:50 later that day. It’s lights out for Round 11 at 09:20 on Sunday, before the Endurance Cup finale begins under a rolling start at 13:40.

Dylan Yip, Phantom Global Racing: “The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Talent Pool Presented by Michelin has been a great factor for my development. It teaches you how to become a real professional on and off the track with both driver and media coaching. I’ve been on the podium more consistently this season and feel in the right mindset to continue to push forward. My aim for the remainder of the season is to score as many points as possible as I have a chance to finish in the top three of the championship.”

Marcus Amand, Team Betterlife: “I’m thrilled to have this incredible opportunity to race at Mandalika with the team, which will be an exciting challenge. I took part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Assessment Test in Sepang and I’m very grateful to them for making this possible. I’m looking forward to being on-track this weekend and giving it my absolute best to achieve a positive result.”

Francis Tija, OpenRoad Racing: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend at Mandalika as it’s always exciting to drive at a new track! It also feels like a home race for me having grown up in Jakarta and I first visited Lombok many years ago. It’s very close to home and I never thought I would be racing on this picturesque island. It’s brilliant to see the championship continuing to add new venues to the calendar and I can’t wait to get out on track.”

Yan Chuang, Phantom Global Racing: “It was amazing in Bangsaen to stand on the Am-class podium across both races, as I now feel like I have a better understanding of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, thanks to the team. We’ve been closely analysing our performance, and it all came together nicely for a strong haul of points in Thailand. We know that we’re fully capable of achieving another top three again this weekend at Mandalika.”

Alexandre Imperatori, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Manager: “We’re delighted to be heading to Indonesia for the first time ever, to such an excellent circuit in a beautiful setting by the beach. It’s also going to be a memorable weekend with the finale of the Endurance Cup, as well as the Formation Lap event on Friday morning, where we’ll announce our 2026 plans. We’ll also be joined by Porsche Sprint Challenge Indonesia making for a celebration of all things Porsche! Additionally, we’ve got local Porsche customers joining us on Wednesday for a track experience event. It will be an action-packed weekend with potential titles up for grabs across three different categories, so we can’t wait to get out on track at Mandalika.”
