Bianca Bustamante has completed a pivotal rookie season in the GB3 Championship with Elite Motorsport, marking an important step in her progression towards FIA Formula 3 and her long-term ambition of reaching Formula 1.

The 2025 campaign represented a significant challenge for Bustamante as she adapted to faster, more powerful machinery in the new Tatuus MSV GB3-025 and competed in mixed-gender, mixed-nationality grids for the first time. For the two-time F1 Academy race winner and former karting champion, the season was focused on development rather than immediate results.

Bustamante showed steady progress throughout the year, recording her best finishes of P13 at Zandvoort and the Hungaroring, along with multiple top-15 results across the season. Those performances were widely regarded as solid outcomes for a debut year in one of Europe’s most competitive junior single-seater categories.

Beyond on-track results, the season placed strong emphasis on learning and adaptability. Bustamante worked extensively on racecraft, tyre management and consistency while adjusting to the increased downforce and power demands of GB3 machinery. Her efforts were recognised within the paddock for resilience and professionalism across a demanding calendar.

In parallel with her GB3 programme, Bustamante expanded her experience into electric single-seater racing as a development driver with Cupra Kiro. She achieved a notable third-place finish in the Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia and also took part in the Rookie Test in Berlin, adding valuable mileage in high-level international machinery.

Physical preparation was a key focus throughout the season, with Bustamante undertaking an intensive training programme centred on strength, cardio conditioning and weight training to cope with the physical demands of the GB3 car. This was supported by extensive simulator work to accelerate learning across unfamiliar circuits and race scenarios.

Bustamante has described the season as one of significant personal and professional growth, highlighting how each race weekend contributed to her development as a driver. She has credited Elite Motorsport and her partners for their support throughout her first year in the championship.

Looking ahead, Bustamante will continue training through the off-season while finalising plans for her 2026 racing programme, which is expected to be announced in the near future.

From a Racing-X perspective, Bustamante’s GB3 rookie campaign represents a solid foundation rather than a final statement. The experience gained across high-downforce machinery, competitive European circuits and mixed-category testing environments positions her well for the next phase of her single-seater progression.
